WelcomeElemental Africa builds sustainable communities, not townships. The world's peoples have by and large become disconnected from the awareness of how we are all inter-linked with nature and how we rely on the earth and natural forces for our primary needs - water, food, shelter. And how we are all increasingly losing our sense of community. We work with people who have been marginalised through lack of resources and infrastructure and the breakdown of their ancient tribal customs. People who live in slums or squatter camps, eking their survival off land they have forgotten how to farm, or treat with the respect they gave it when they lived in synergy with nature. We work to instill a renewed sense of awareness of community and reconnection with the earth and it's natural resources in a sustainable way. We assist people to take ownership of their own lives and situations and become accountable for their futures individually and as a group. This creates a sense of community, which can then be manifested into a tangible product like a village, a sustainable business, a clean water supply. It cannot happen the other way around.
